Legend of the Seeker - MUST WATCH TV....

It has arrived. Check your local listings.

The team from Xena, Warrior Princess and Hercules with Kevin Sorbo returns. Sam Raimi is backing this project also.

This time they take a more serious approach to Fantasy and bring us Legend of the Seeker.
Based on the Terry Goodkind novel Sword of Truth, production is taking place in Peter Jackson's favorite filming spot...New Zealand.

Xena and Hercules were also filmed there as well.

And now is your chance to check it out.

Click this link for the first 10 minutes of the premiere.

Post your thoughts here. It looks gorgeous so far.
And finally a return to a syndicated TV series, which means a full 22 episode run.
As well, a Fantasy series, which has not been on TV since Xena left the airwaves in 2001.

I have been trying to figure out when and where this will be airing in Canada - and I *hear* CTV on the 1st but there's nothing official that I can find, I even went to CTV and looked up their local listings to see when / where I can get it. Any hints or ideas?? I do NOT want to miss this! *cries*

I have searched this, and saw mentions of WGN or My Network TV, or any CW station...
But, you may even have to *gulp* find it ...online...

Itunes will carry it for sure...but, I will follow this, and will post more info if I find it.

This will be awesome

*cringes at the online bit* If I have to I'll watch online but I'd really rather not! *grumbles* I've read in a few places it should be coming to Canada. Thank you for keeping me updated! Most appreciated. It's been a LONG time since I've been excited about a show like this.

I have been watching HULU on a PC hooked up to the new TV, and the quality is top notch.
I wonder if you can access hulu.com?
Otherwise, another online service is Joost which is pretty good for TV shows also.

Anyways...good luck..I heard Nov 1st or 2nd...so keep and eye out.

Hmmmm...I wonder how they'll portray the initiation rites for the Dark Sisters?

"Okay girlfriend. Here's the deal. You WERE supposed have sex with this creepy monster over here (and actually enjoy it), but we've decided to change the ceremony at the last second. Now you just have to chug a six pack of beer in five minutes without throwing up."

In the US, WGN is showing The Legend of the Seeker starting November 1 at 4 pm Central time. Their website has a link back to the www.legendoftheseeker.com website, which has its own search engine to find a local airing, based on zip codes.

@Anonymous, unfortunately that does me no good, since I'm Canadian. I tried to type my postal code in there and got no where.

Hopefully I'll get to watch this from the comfort of a couch and not my PC -- hulu blocks me due to my Canadian IP too (a friend already suggested that) as do most online American tv show channels. I'll find it though!

Alright, it's finally coming out today.

I live in Sweden, does anyone here know how i can watch it as soon as possible after it comes out?

Also yeah, the initiation rite will probably be recast to something like sacrificing a bunch of people or something. And the flaying of skin to absorb a wizards magic will probably be changed too.

It's a shame they will have to take away some of the violence, such as heads flying off, guts welling out and such.

All I can say is "Torrent" or if Itunes works overseas or you have a way to access it...

Good luck Sweden!
